🔥 Torch Royale (Vi Labs)

 Role: Unity Developer

 Timeframe: 2024–2025

 Torch Royale was a legacy mobile title handed over to an internal team after 4 years of outsourced development. 

I joined as one of only two programmers (alongside the CTO), and we were tasked with rebuilding the game for better retention and lower CPI.

 🛠️ Key Contributions

 - Rebuilt core systems from scratch, replacing fragile legacy code with clean, scalable architecture 
- Implemented new features aimed at retention, polish, and monetization
- Mentored QA and tech artists, helping them contribute tools and in-editor scripts
- Optimized performance and reduced tech debt across the project

 ⚔️ PvP Pivot 

 Midway through development, we were challenged to turn the game into a real-time PvP experience — originally a PvE-only game. 
 Within just 3 weeks, we shipped a fully functional multiplayer prototype under a new title, including UI, logic, and mechanics. 

 Although the studio eventually shut down, our version of the project showed clear improvements in key KPIs and investor engagement. It remains one of the most technically demanding and creatively rewarding projects I’ve worked on.
